Jasmine is best known as a pretty flower with a lovely warm, floral aroma. The flowers are native to warm, subtropical and tropical regions of Asia and Africa. It is a climbing plant that slowly grows to about 2.5 metres tall, producing white flowers.
Jasmine is considered to be one of the most precious essential oils because of the difficult and time-consuming extraction process. Extraction must be carried out at daybreak as this is when the flowers are at their most fragrant and have the largest amount of aromatic components intact. Furthermore, a large number of flowers are required to produce just a small amount of essential oil.
Not only does Jasmine carry a desirable scent, but aromatic and topical use is also excellent for lifting the mood and reducing feelings of worry. Furthermore, cosmetic use can improve the skin’s appearance, and Jasmine essential oil is also known to boost the libido.
