Helichrysum Italicum is a perennial herb native to the Mediterranean region, and part of the Asteraceae family. The plant produces golden yellow flowers, from which the essential oil is extracted by steam distillation.
The use of Helichrysum in herbal medicine dates back to Ancient Greece where it was recognised for its many full-body benefits including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, and antimicrobial properties.
