The Rosa Damascena has a strong pedigree, cultivated for centuries Bulgaria’s breathtaking Valley of the Roses, a unique landscape shaded to the North by the stunning Balkan mountains, and alongside the pretty town of Kazanlak. Centuries of tradition
Our Damask Rose Essential Oil is crafted for you using time-honoured traditions. Our pickers are up before the sun, and carefully select and pick the rose blossoms just as dawn is breaking. Later the same day, the oil is then gently extracted from the blossoms by steam distillation, under the watchful eye of our skilled team leader. It takes over 10,000 freshly picked blossoms to craft just 5 ml of essential oil.
How to use Damask Rose Essential Oil
You can choose to use Damask Rose Essential Oil on its own , or you can blend it with other essential and carrier oils to enhance its properties, and to create your own unique scent for yourself or for your home.

Blending Damask Rose Essential Oil
Rose essential oil blends well with citrus, floral and resin oils.
Aromatic Room Spray
INGREDIENTS
- 5 drops – Rose essential oil
- 3 drops – Ylang Ylang essential oil
- 2 drops – Patchouli essential oil
- 2 drops – Bergamot essential oil
- 2 teaspoons – Alcohol
DIRECTIONS
Mix 60 drops of your concentrate (above) with 60ml of distilled water or witch hazel. Shake well. Spray upward into the air and walk underneath. If the aroma is not strong enough, add more concentrate in 5 drop increments.

Guidance on using our oil
It’s always wise to use essential oils with care.
Currently there are no known side effects associated with Damask rose oil but it’s a good idea to perform a skin patch test before your first use. Always avoid contact with your eyes.
We also advise not to use undiluted rose oil as an inhalant, as it may cause headaches.
Our Damask Rose Essential Oil is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
