Tea Tree

Melaleuca Alternifolia

Single Oil – 15ml

Tea Tree oil has been referenced in various studies for its health benefits and has been used in Australia for more than 100 years. It contains more than 92 different compounds, which makes it a versatile oil with many uses.

The powerful purifying properties of Tea Tree oil make it an excellent addition to homemade cleaning agents, as well as hair and skin products. Diffusing Tea Tree oil helps to purify the air in your home, whilst topical application gently cleanses and purifies the hair and skin. Topical use is also linked to a number of health benefits.

Tea Tree oil comes from the melaleuca alternifolia plant, which is native to Australia. Melaleuca belongs to the Myrtaceae family and has approximately 250 species. The plants are shrubs or trees with green leaves that are highly fragrant when rubbed. Steam distillation is used to extract tea tree essential oil from the leaves.
