The Lumo Diffuser is inspired by natural elements. It features an attractive maple wood base and multiple light setting options. You can run the Lumo diffuser for 10 hours intermittently or two to five hours continuously.
How to Set Up Your Lumo Diffuser:
The Lumo Diffuser is remarkably easy to set up and start using.
Find the Perfect Placement:
Before you can start using your new Lumo diffuser, you”ll need to find the perfect location for it in your home. It is best that you keep your Lumo out of reach of both children and pets, but you should be able to easily access it. The diffuser will need to be within reach of a power outlet, but away from fans, windows and direct sunlight.
Bear in mind that if you are placing your Lumo on a wooden surface, it may be best to put a placemat or other protective material underneath, in case of water or oil spills as you”re filling it.
The best placement for your diffuser is in an open area that does not have anything directly above it. This will allow proper spray without causing any damage to nearby surfaces.
Fill the Water Reservoir:
Once your Lumo is in the perfect spot, remove the lid and fill the water reservoir with room temperature, clean water. Make note of the fill line and be sure not to overfill the unit as it can cause operational issues. If you live in a hard water area, it is a good idea to use filtered or distilled water to minimise cleaning.
Add your choice of Essential Oils:
Whether you”re using a single oil or your own blend, essential oils are highly concentrated. This means that you”ll only need a small amount to provide a subtle fragrance in the room. Unless you want a highly powerful scent, three to six drops should be sufficient, but try to avoid using more than 10 drops. It is far better to start with a few drops, as you can always add more if you need a more powerful scent.
Switch It On:
Replace the lid and turn on the unit. Press the mist button to start diffusing, but if you”re looking to relax or meditate, you can also press the light button to scroll through the lighting effects to find the most suitable.
Set the Diffusing Time:
Finally, you can select the diffusing time. The Lumo diffuser has settings for two, five and 10 hours. If you select 10 hours, the diffuser will run intermittently approximately every five minutes. This will allow your sense of smell not to be dulled by constant exposure to the aroma. Depending on the essential oil and the potential benefits, it may be suitable to run the diffuser for two hours rather than having it on intermittently.
For example, if you”re planning a study session, you may appreciate two hours of peppermint or sage to boost your concentration. However, if you want to enjoy a restful and relaxing afternoon of reading, you may prefer longer exposure to a more subtle fragrance.
