  • 20 drops of rose oil

  • 1 cup coconut oil

  • 2 cups of fine sugar

  • 2 vanilla beans or 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract


Mix rose oil and coconut oil together. Add it to the sugar and mix well. Now add the vanilla extract, and your exfoliating rose scrub is ready. If needed, you can also add rose petals to the scrub. 

Revitalising cream with rose essential oil

Wrinkles and fine lines are part and parcel of ageing. Chase away these age spots with this gentle revitalising cream. 


  • 6-8 drops of rose essential oil

  • 2 tablespoons of rosehip seed oil

  • 4 tablespoons of jojoba oil

  • 1 tablespoon of shea butter

  • 2 tablespoons of beeswax

  • ½ cup of fresh aloe vera

  • Any natural thickening agent like fructan gum. 


Double-boil all the oil ingredients, including jojoba oil, shea butter, beeswax, and the natural thickener. Once the beeswax melts, transfer the contents to a clear jar and add rosehip seed oil. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. 

Once the mixture cools, add rose essential oil and fresh aloe vera. Mix it well until it becomes gel-like. Keep the cream refrigerated until you finish using it. 

DIY recipes for haircare

The peculiarity of hair is that its texture changes with the changing season. While it tends to dry during winter, it becomes lifeless during summer because of harsh sunlight. Thus, depending on the season, you need to take care of your hair. 

Here are some DIY recipes you can try out for silky, smooth hair. 

Hydrating spray

Hydrating spray is the best way to tame frizzy hair shaft. It is also handy, and you can carry it even while travelling. 


  • 12 drops of rose essential oil

  • One cup of water

  • 8 tablespoons of any carrier oil like olive oil or jojoba oil. 


  • Create a rose water mixture by adding 12 drops of rose essential oil to one cup of water and transfer it to a spritz bottle. 

  • Take a few tablespoons of rosewater mixture and add the carrier oil of your choice to it. 

  • Mix it thoroughly and add it back to the rose water mixture. 

  • Share the mixture well and use it on your hair.

Sometimes, dandruff and other scalp issues can make hair lifeless. Rose oil, along with other ingredients, can bring hair back to life.


  • 1 teaspoon rose oil

  • 2 teaspoons of castor oil

  • 4 teaspoons of jojoba oil

  • 6 drops of rosemary oil

  • 8 drops each of lavender oil and ylang-ylang oil


Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients as per the measurement given. Mix it thoroughly and apply it to your scalp after parting the hair. 

DIY recipes for relaxation

The best way to use rose oil for relaxation is to make a blend of essential oils. This blend can be diffused throughout the room to create a calm and serene atmosphere.

Rose absolute diffuser blend
